Ford's Blue Oval logo has changed: the F-150 introduces a simplified version.
Ford has just unveiled an updated version of its popular F-150 pickup for the 2024 model year. Among the changes, Ford quietly introduced a redesigned version of the iconic Blue Oval logo on the updated truck.

The new emblem has become simpler than the previous one, as Ford removed the thin silver oval outline that used to sit inside the badge. The "Ford" lettering has grown larger to fill the space. The chrome frame around the outer edge and the lettering are now rendered in white, which creates a slight retro style. The updated logo also looks more two-dimensional than before.

It is strange that Ford did not mention the new logo anywhere in its press materials about the new F-150, and we are not aware of the redesigned Blue Oval appearing on any previous Ford models. At a media event dedicated to the 2024 F-150, Ford's senior designer for colors and materials, Rob Branche, confirmed to Car and Driver magazine that the logo is indeed new. We are not sure when the new logo will appear on the rest of Ford's models, but we assume it will as other models undergo restyling or generational changes.

The Audi Q8 and V-8-powered SQ8 for 2024 have gained a sleeker design and new LED headlights.
Audi has updated the Q8 SUV, following a design concept similar to that of the electric Q8 e-tron model, with elegant headlights neatly integrated into the wide radiator grille.
The electric Audi Q8 e-tron received a stylish update for 2024 that included a more refined grille and redesigned lighting elements. Now the German automaker is updating the gasoline version of the Q8, giving the sporty crossover slimmer headlights and a redesigned grille. The high-performance SQ8 also returns for 2024 with its powerful 4,0-liter V-8 engine.

The changes to the Audi Q8's appearance for 2024 are subtle, but together they give the crossover a more stylish and elegant front end. The grille has a less sharp angle compared to the previous version and flows smoothly into the headlights, similar to how it is done on the Q8 e-tron. The air intakes in the front bumper are enlarged, and a new exhaust system is fitted across the entire lineup. The SQ8 also has a redesigned front spoiler and rear diffuser, while the grille, side mirrors, and air intakes are accented with aluminum. Optional packages may feature window trim, bumper framing, and a grille with a glossy black finish, creating a more aggressive look.
Audi has also revised the Matrix LED headlight configuration, and the Q8 will be offered with high-tech laser headlights that increase the range of the high beams. The daytime running lights on top-level models can switch between four different light signatures via the infotainment screen, while the rear light bar has a simpler look and can be equipped with Audi's LED modules.

As with the electric e-tron models, the gasoline version of the Q8 now displays its model name and equipment level on the B-pillar. Five new wheel designs are available, ranging from 21 to 23 inches in diameter. The Q8 also received three new colors, including the attractive Sakhir Gold seen in the photos. Inside, the Q8 offers several new materials, and Audi has also expanded the list of apps compatible with its infotainment system, including third-party apps such as Spotify.
The Q8's engines still run on a turbocharged 3,0-liter V-6 that produces 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque through an 8-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels. The engine is also supported by a 48-volt hybrid system that stores energy during braking, smooths out the automatic stop function, and allows the vehicle to coast with the engine off in a gliding mode for up to 40 seconds.
